  4. Well here is the first relase of my Magic Icons.
  5. This will not be the final version, after the summer holidays
  6. I'll upload version 1.0 which will have all the stuff that's
  7. in this archive plus much more of course!

  11. The icons were made with DPaint4.5 (it's better than all those IconEdit progs!)
  12. and converted with one of those handy progs BRUSH2Icon or IFF2Icon
  13. (I've got them both I just have to decide which one I shall use permanently.)

  17. For all the ppl who still get some of the patterns with
  18. the wrong colors on the screen here is what you should do:
  19.  
  20. 1 Take a snapshot from your WB screen with one of those handy grab programs
  21. 2 Load it into your favourite paint program, now you've got the exact colors
  22.   on the screen as your WB screen
  23. 3 Load the patterns which don't show up properly,
  24.   stamp 'em down and save them that should be all!

  26. Read this MWB icon creators!!

  28. To all the other MWB icon creators out there I've made a new template
  29. called Improver this should be used for programs that patches libraries etc.
  30. so the system improves, I've included 3 examples in the WBStartup dir
  31.  
  32. I have also messed with the icons in the prefs dir (I just hated the pink/white
  33. question marks so I made 2 alternate template icons for these
  34.  
  35. And I've made a new mouse to replace the A500 mouse that shows up on
  36. some icons. I haven't used it yet but I'll include some in the v1.0 version
  37. of MagicAl icons. I'll do the prefs input icon and the viewer with mouse and
  38. screen the rest of you are welcome to do the rest :)

  40. Oh almost forgot I've made a new MUI template since these programs are
  41. always commodities. (as far as I know, even the MUI prefs is a commodity!)
  42. I tried to put the blue MUI from the *old* :) template on the new1 but it
  43. didn't looked good with translucency so I just grabed the letters MUI from
  44. the prefs icon :)

  47. With program to which you want to add a new MagicWB icon you should make
  48. the next steps: (as soon as you found a match skip the rest of course :))
  49. 1) is it an MUI program?              -> Take the MUI template
  50. 2) is it a commodity?                 -> Take the commodity template
  51. 3) does the program patches anything? -> Take the Improver template
  52. 4) just a normal program?             -> Take the program template
